The Department of Pathology has a reasonable personnel structure and advanced medical equipment. It participates in national, provincial and municipal pathology external quality assessment activities every year, and has achieved good results. It is a member unit of the Pathology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association; vice chairman unit of the Pathology Branch of Shenzhen Physicians Association; vice chairman unit of the Pathology and Gene Diagnosis Branch of Shenzhen Health Management Association, and the Guangming District Clinical Pathology Consultation Center. In addition to undertaking clinical pathological diagnosis of our hospital and the district maternal and child health hospital, the Department of Pathology is also responsible for the detection work of breast cancer and cervical cancer screening for women of childbearing age in the entire Guangming District, and is committed to improving the diagnosis and treatment service capabilities of medical institutions in Guangming District, helping grassroots hospitals solve difficult cases. The Department of Pathology always adheres to the concept of "serving patients, serving clinical practice", providing more accurate and comprehensive pathological diagnosis for patients and clinical practice.

It now has 4 automatic dehydrators, 4 paraffin microtomes, 1 set of liquid-based sedimentation instrument, 1 ultrasonic tissue processor, 3 embedding machines, 3 slide baking machines, 4 automatic staining and coverslipping machines, 4 frozen microtomes, 2 automatic immunohistochemical staining machines, 1 Roche HPV Cobas 4800 system and other advanced medical equipment.
