The Department of Blood Transfusion of Shenzhen Guangming District People's Hospital consists of two laboratories in the East and West campuses. It is a clinical medical technology department integrating medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research, with functions of clinical technical guidance and technical services for blood transfusion testing and blood transfusion treatment, clinical supply and coordination of blood products, and comprehensive quality management of clinical blood use.
Personnel Structure:
There are currently 11 staff members, including 3 associate chief technicians, 2 charge technicians, and 6 laboratory technicians; among them, 2 masters and 9 bachelors.
Scope of Diagnosis and Treatment:
(1) ABO forward and reverse blood grouping, Rh blood grouping and typing, cross-matching (microcolumn gel method, polybrene method, anti-human globulin method), irregular antibody screening, Coombs test, prenatal blood group antibody testing, neonatal hemolytic disease examination and other blood transfusion testing technologies, as well as internal quality control and external quality assessment of blood transfusion compatibility testing;
(2) Carrying out component blood transfusion to improve blood transfusion quality. The component blood transfusion rate reaches more than 99%;
(3) Carrying out perioperative autologous blood collection, storage and reinfusion to avoid transfusion-related cross-infection;
(4) Carrying out thromboelastography testing to guide clinical rational blood transfusion and adjust antiplatelet drug treatment strategies.
(5) Responsible for the preservation and query of blood transfusion files;
(6) Participating in the review and consultation of clinical difficult blood transfusion and massive blood use, coordinating and solving blood use and discussion of clinical new technologies and new surgical cases.
Equipment:
The Department of Blood Transfusion has advanced equipment such as automatic blood grouping instruments, automatic blood matching systems, special blood storage refrigerators, special low-temperature refrigerators for blood banks, dry plasma thawing instruments and plasma thawing boxes, automatic platelet constant temperature oscillation storage instruments, ultra-clean workbenches, as well as cold chain monitoring systems and clinical blood transfusion management systems, which are important foundations for carrying out new clinical blood transfusion technologies and related research.
