The Central Sterile Supply Department of Shenzhen Guangming District People's Hospital consists of the East and West campuses, with a reasonable personnel structure and an area of 1,032.7 square meters, providing professional and high-quality services for the entire hospital and community health center departments.

Number of Service Departments:

About 45 inpatient departments, about 60 outpatient and medical technology departments, 38 community health centers, and two operating rooms.

Personnel Structure:

The department has a total of 42 staff members, including 1 associate chief nurse, 9 charge nurses, 8 staff nurses, 8 nurses, 8 assistants, 2 sterilizers, and 6 workers. The department has a total of 34 nursing staff and 8 other staff.

Work Scope:

Centralized management, processing all reusable instruments and equipment in the hospital. Details are as follows:

Operating Room Instrument Processing Group: Stationed in the operating room every day to complete the handover of surgical instruments after surgery and on-site cleaning, classification and handover to this department for processing. It plays a role in communicating with the operating room and completes the preliminary processing of operating room instruments.

Recovery and Cleaning Group: Responsible for the recovery and cleaning of instruments and equipment from all hospital departments, ensuring cleaning quality.

Packaging Group: Responsible for quality inspection, assembly, etc. of department instruments and equipment.

Sterilization Group: Responsible for sterilization of various items and equipment maintenance and repair work.

Sterile Item Storage and Distribution Group: Responsible for the storage, safekeeping, and distribution of sterile items in the department. It plays a role in timely delivering items to clinical departments and communicating well with clinical departments.

Equipment:

Sterilization Area: 5 high-temperature sterilizers, including 3 imported high-temperature sterilizers and 2 domestic high-temperature sterilizers; 4 imported low-temperature sterilizers, among which 6 cost more than one million yuan; 2 small sterilizers; 5 incubators.

Packaging Area: 4 heat sealing machines, 2 insulation monitors.

Cleaning Area: 5 ultrasonic cleaning machines, 2 disinfectors, 2 imported automatic cleaning machines, 5 domestic automatic cleaning machines, 2 dryers, 2 hot air machines, 1 steam cleaning machine, 2 sets of endoscope workbenches and supporting cleaning equipment.
