The Department of Medical Imaging is a professional platform department with large business volume and wide business scope, with an average annual number of examination cases of 320,000. The department maintains close contact with Beijing 301 Hospital, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University, Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, Wuhan Union Hospital, Shanghai Cancer Hospital, Second Hospital of Lanzhou University, and major hospitals in Shenzhen, and regularly sends staff to these large tertiary teaching hospitals for advanced study; it actively participates in various academic exchange meetings, keeping its business synchronized with domestic advanced levels. The department has 14 staff with senior professional titles, 21 with intermediate professional titles, and 28 with junior professional titles; 1 PhD, 3 masters, and 36 bachelors. It has subspecialties such as general radiology, CT, MRI, and MG.

The department is equipped with 4 CT machines, 2 magnetic resonance (MRI) machines, 5 digital X-ray machines (DR), 2 digital X-ray angiography machines (dRF), 2 digital mammography machines (MG), including Siemens dual-source CT (Definition Flash), Philips 128-slice CT (iCT), the first installed Siemens latest 1.5T large-bore superconducting MRI in Shenzhen, Siemens latest 3D tomographic stereotactic biopsy mammography machine (Inspiration), Carestream wireless double-plate DR, Siemens new 17-inch large flat-panel digital gastrointestinal machine and other sophisticated imaging equipment; it is equipped with Siemens and Philips professional image post-processing servers and RIS/PACS systems.

Scope of Diagnosis and Treatment:

The Department of Medical Imaging provides 7*24 hours uninterrupted, timely and accurate various medical imaging examinations.

1. Imaging examinations of various parts and systems of the whole body, including bone joint and chest-abdominal radiography, digestive tract, urinary tract and hysterosalpingography, mammography and CT, MRI scanning, etc.

2. Using CT and MRI scanning to obtain morphological images and functional imaging of various organs and tissues, providing precise anatomical, histopathological and metabolic functional basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

3. Using digital gastrointestinal machine to perform air reduction treatment for pediatric intussusception.

4. Using CT machine to perform precise 3D localization puncture biopsy and targeted therapy.

5. Bedside imaging examination and health care physical examination for critically ill patients.
